Update
After months in the making, Jeremy Palmer finally released his Black Ink Project 2 course to the public. Get all of the details on the Black Ink Project 2 Homepage.
Jeremy Palmers Black Ink Project: Review of Day 1
The long-awaited free webinar series, “Black Ink Project” kicked off yesterday. Ever since I started reading his(now free)mega-hit ebook called “High Performance Affiliate Marketing“, I’ve been looking forward to this series.
Each day, I will post the topic from the previous day’s session and will share at least one important idea that I took away from the session.
I would seriously consider signing up for this webinar series. I do NOT receive ANY compensation for recommending this. I simply believe that Jeremy Palmer is a man who knows his stuff, has the proof to show it and really cares about helping others succeed online.
Each webinar will last an hour and a half with the last thirty minutes used for Q and A. There will be twenty sessions divided as follows:
- five weekday sessions
- one week off between each series of five sessions to catch up and take action on what was learned the previous week
- course will take eight weeks to complete
Each session will be recorded and the recording will be available within twenty-four hours. The recordings will include the graphics used during the presentation. He will also send an email with a summary of the topic, resources discussed and links to Q and A topics.
Today’s Topic: Finding Your Niche
A discussion of what makes a good and a bad niche as well as an introduction to market research.
My Top Take-Away
Jeremy recommended that affiliates first link directly to the merchant’s site to see if the product has any interest. Most other online marketers say this is a no-no. He believes only after you’ve done this step should you consider making your own landing page.
Tomorrow’s Topic: Getting Your Business In Order

Hi Katherine,
Thank you so much for contributing to my blog and for your insights.
I’m hoping to include more webinar summary material in the future as well as my top take-away.
Had you heard of this program before now?
I hope you like the CommentLuv plugin I use which now gives you another link to your latest blog post. Two for one. Can’t beat it.

Dear Jeff,
Thank you so much for taking your time and publishing the concise summary of BIP. I am also a participant of this project and have great hope with it. However, owing to extreme time limitations, it will not be possible for me to attend live webinars or to listen them afterwards. In fact I was looking for someone who can provide the daily summary of webinars. And who can be better for this than someone I know i.e. you !
My interest in your blog has increases manifold owing to your proposed reporting of BIP. Keep up the good work 🙂

Eklavya,
I appreciate your contribution to my blog and your confidence in my abilities.
However, I would warn you that my posts are intended as a guide to the course and NOT to replace participation in it.
There is no way that you will get anywhere near the full impact of the course by merely reading my posts.
I would highly recommend that you find a way to make time for this series at least to judge it for yourself.
Best,
Jeff

Isn’t this funny? We are colleagues in Jeremy’s course. I like it and I’m sure we will get a bit wiser after we finish it.

Hi Simonne,
I’ve been looking forward to his course ever since I read his book.
Listening to his webinars I can totally figure out why he’s done so well at it. He does his research.
Thanks for adding to my blog.
Are you attending the live webinars or downloading them?
Jeff

I’ve attended two of them live, but the hour is not suitable at all for me, as here it’s 1 am when they start, so I’m going to wait for the recordings in the future.
I think Jeremy is very good at what he is doing, and I liked very much the fact that he doesn’t try to convince people to buy tools and ebooks which they don’t need, as they can have all that info for free.
Until recently, I used to build sites mainly for monetizing them with AdSense, so I cared less about those consumers who came to my sites, I just wanted to kick them off as fast as possible. Now I’m going to try Jeremy’s approach, because I got bored of building assets only to chase people away via ads clicking.

Simonne,
Him not selling stuff from the get go is the first thing that kept me going back.
The other is the fact that it’s content others would charge hundreds if not thousands for.
I’ve never set up an Adsense only site. I think you’re on the right track to want to get and keep the people who visit your sites.
Best,
Jeff

Jeff,
Actually both models work, and I’m trying to diversify. Anyway, the biggest challenge in both cases is to bring targeted traffic to your sites as efficiently as possible.
Good luck with the Black Ink Project. I can’t wait to exchange impressions with you after we get to do some real work on that.

Simonne,
I’m looking forward to that as well.
If the rest of this course is as informative and inspiring as the first five parts, I think we’ll BOTH see a change in the direction of our businesses.
Until then, keep reading and contributing to my blog and thanks for your support.
