In part one, I gave you my background and discussed the various influences so far on my internet marketing career.
We’ll continue today with an update on where I am now and finish with where I want to be in the next year.
Fast Forward To Now
I am thrilled to report that I am finally starting to see regular, if not life-changing, results from my efforts. I can’t tell you how satisfying it has been for me to analyze where a campaign was, make changes to it and see real results.
I have a long way to go but I am now seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. Thanks to Jeremy Palmer’s Black Ink projects, I have an excellent foundation in what it takes to develop winning campaigns and to market them using Pay Per Click advertising. More than anything I understand the incredible amount of work it takes to make a living producing quality sites that add value to people’s lives.
The other thing I learned is I’ll never get where I want to be by trying to do it all myself. Nobody will. It is no more than urban legend that internet marketers are all Obsessive Compulsive, workaholics that never stop thinking or working on their businesses. If you examine the stories of the top people in our field, you will read account after account of those that realized their dream was much bigger than their two hands could craft alone.
What’s Next
And that’s where I’m at right now. I am busting my butt to get enough income coming in to start outsourcing the stuff I hate or am no good at. My list is almost complete including the order I’ll use to outsource tasks. I just need the fuel for my fire. I plan to start outsourcing in early 2009 with recommendations from Tim Ferriss’ “The 4-Hour Workweek.”
Then, this business will really start taking off.
How about you? Where are you at and what do you need to fuel your fire? Leave me a comment below and let’s all talk about it.
Best,
