Jeremy Palmers Black Ink Project: Review of Week 3
You’ve built a site that people will enjoy visiting. Now, how do you get them to come, stay, buy and then come back to it?
Highlights
Monday’s session was titled “Pay Per Click Mastery.” Pay per click or PPC marketing is the quickest way to drive highly targeted traffic to your website.
This webinar was taught by Amit Mehta of SuperAffiliateMindset.com. He gave a complete class on every aspect of PPC marketing starting from selecting keywords and ending with how to make Google happy.
The part of this class I found most useful was his breakdown of the 3 main bidding types: trigger-happy, scared and really scared.
Tuesday’s class, “Link Building Your Way To The Top“, was taught by Aaron Wall of SEOBook.com.
He talked about the history of link building from 1997 to the present and how it has changed drastically since then.
From there, he moved onto the best strategies you can use to generate the most traffic to you site from link building.
The best advice he gave during this presentation was that you have to build a site with quality content because Google views Search Engine Optimizers (SEOs) and affiliates as scum(his own words).
On Wednesday, we covered “Making Your Site Sticky” and Jeremy was back in the professor’s seat.
He talked about all of the tools you can use that make your site look and feel like a place your visitors would like to hang around and come back to again and again. Focusing on the community aspects of a site are the keys to long term affiliate success.
The coolest thing I took away from this session was that all of the tools that he made mention of have at least free versions available. This is a great thing for affiliate marketers just starting out with a very limited budget.
Thursday found us talking about “List Building And Email Marketing.”
Jeremy discussed the benefits of an email list, how to best build a list, how to design emails and mistakes you want to avoid.
The top tip from this webinar was that Jeremy advises subscribing to your competitor’s email list so you’ll know when they are planning to run promotions and with which products. This can give you the advantage with a campaign you could launch at the same time or before them.
We finished up the week on Friday with Andrew Wee of WhoIsAndrewWee.com talking about “Social Media and Web 2.0 Traffic.”
He led the discussion of what social media is, how you can use it and what some of the pitfalls are.
The best advice he gave on making a favorable impression on other social media users is to post links to strong content they have written on your social media site or blog postings.
The Live Webinars Resume Monday, June 16th With: Measuring And Analyzing Your Traffic
The last week of this series will cover analyzing your traffic, split testing, outsourcing, getting to the next level and a Black Ink Project checklist and recap.

Hi Deb,
Thanks for your support and kind words. You are too kind!
It has been a lot of work but I've really enjoyed it.
Would you believe me if I told you that I had never considered marketing the series as a stand-alone?
THIS is the power of networking!
Best,
Jeff
