I came across a blog post at Problogger and I had to write a quick post telling you about it because it’s huge.
According to the post, when Google’s Webspam head, Matt Cutts, wants to add links to while blogging he uses Linkify. In fact, Matt named Linkify as the shortest, easiest thing he did to improve his blog in 2007.
This program allows you to select text in code view on your blog, click the linkify link in your toolbar, and a search is brought up on half of your screen. When you find the link you want to use you click “create link”, the code is inserted and the search box goes away.
A full explanation of how to install and use Linkify can be found here.
I wanted to get this out as quickly as possible because I know I struggle with the linking portion of my postings and I thought others might benefit from it as well.
