My name is Jeff Jones. I am a 46 year-old downsized IT worker who has been selling mint and near-mint vintage childrens books on eBay since February of 2006.
The collection I purchased back then was massive and I have been sifting through it ever since then. I’ve had a number of different products to sell. Some good and some not so good.
You can check out my store here.
Now, I can see that the collection is coming to a close. I have been interested in pursuing other online ventures but have not had a lot of time to do so before now due to the enormous amount of time sorting, photographing, editing, listing, selling and shipping these books requires.
A few months back, I purchased an eBay management tool called GarageSale from iwascoding.com. This software dramatically reduced the amount of time listing and re-listing items took me and really opened the door to start researching internet marketing as a career path. For that I am eternally grateful.
This blog will follow me as I move from an home based ebay business to home based internet marketing business and, eventually, to producing and marketing my own digital products.
Along the way, I will share with you my experiences and will encourage you to give me your insights and experiences as well.
I believe that no success should be or really can be a solely individual effort and if we can all learn from each others successes and failures the learning curve can be flattened substantially.
Thank you for taking the time to read and contribute to this project.
Jeff
I’m evaluating a multi-media course on blogging from the folks at Simpleology. For a while, they’re letting you snag it for free if you post about it on your blog.
It covers:
- The best blogging techniques.
- How to get traffic to your blog.
- How to turn your blog into money.
I’ll let you know what I think once I’ve had a chance to check it out. Meanwhile, go grab yours while it’s still free.
